Biscuits and Gravy

Ingredients:
1 c flour
2 t baking powder
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 t salt
1/4 c butter
1/3 c milk
1 t vinegar

Gravy Ingredients:
1/4 lb pork sausage (browned)
2 heaping T flour
1 1/3 c milk 
salt and pepper to taste

Biscuit Directions: 
Put vinegar in milk and let sit to create a buttermilk. Mix dry ingredients. Cut in cold butter.
 Add milk slowly and mix lightly with a fork, careful not to overwork the dough, 
Spread flour onto a flat surface and turn out biscuit dough onto the flour, lightly making it 1 inch thick.
Using a circular cutter, cut out biscuits and place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 450' until slightly golden. 
Gravy Directions:
In a small saucepan, cook sausage and milk together on medium heat. Whisk in flour. Cook until boiling, stirring frequently to prevent burning milk. Reduce heat and add salt/pepper. Ladel over biscuits.
