Grizz Yams

Ingredients:
3Yams (peeled and sliced)
1 package of brown sugar ( A LOT!)
1/4 c butter (sliced)

Directions:
Slice yams and place in crock pot. Add butter, trying to spread it around. Empty brown sugar into pot, spreading it over the top like a cake. Add top.
Cook 3-4 hours (until the yams are soft), coming in every hour to spoon the glaze onto the top later of yams as it melts. 
Remove from heat and place in serving bowl. Allow to cool at least 5 minutes.
