Salisbury Steak

Ingredients:
*Patties*
1 lb ground beef
1 egg
1 T tomato paste
1 T yellow mustard
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1/2 t garlic powder
1/4 c dry breadcrumbs
1/2 t pepper

*Gravy*
2 T butter
1 diced onion
2-3 T flour
1/2 t dried thyme
1 1/2 c beef broth
1 T soy sauce
6 oz mushrooms, sliced
3 T parsley

Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine all patties ingredients and mix. Shape into 4 oval-shaped patties.
Heat a large skillet over med heat. Cook patties 4-5 minutes on each side. Set aside.
Add chopped onions to skillet and reduce heat to med/low. Cook onions until they're translucent and caramelized. Sprinkle 2-3 T flour over onions and stir to coat. Cook for 1 minute until starts to smell toasty, Add thyme and cook 30 sec. Stir in broth and soy sauce. Raise heat to med heat. 
Add patties back to the skillet. Bring to a gentle simmer, cover and cook 10-15 more minutes.
