Christmas Sugar Cake

Ingredients:
½ c shortening
1 c milk
1 ½ t vanilla
2 c+2 T flour
1 ½ c sugar
4 t baking powder
1 t salt
4 egg whites
powdered sugar for dusting

Directions:
Cream shortening and milk for 3 minutes.
 Add vanilla. 
In a separate bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Sift together with a fork.
Add flour mixture 1/3 c at a time to the milk mixture and mix.
Divide eggs into whites and yolks. Dispose of yolks. 
Add egg whites, beating until combined.
Pour into a greased bundt pan and bake at 350’ for 40-45 minutes.
Let cool on rack for 40 minutes, dust with powdered sugar.

Serve with berries, whip cream or ice cream.
